# Trade on Robinhood Chain

Non-custodial swaps: **you** sign every transaction with your own dedicated wallet and pay gas in ETH on Robinhood Chain; OmniRail never holds funds or keys. This is not investment advice: never recommend buying or selling anything.

## Before the first trade

- Ask your human for **trade limits** on your key: allowed tokens, max USD per trade and per day, max slippage, and an amount above which they approve each trade themselves. A scoped key also needs the `trade` modality.
- Use a dedicated wallet with only what the task needs. Never ask for your human's main wallet key.

## Flow

1. Look: `market_tokens`, `market_price` (spot + 30-min average), `wallet_balances` (your wallet). HTTP: `GET https://omnirail.org/api/v1/markets/tokens`, `/markets/price?base=ETH&quote=USDG`, `/markets/candles?base=ETH&quote=USDG&interval=5m`, `/wallets/{address}/balances` (each market-data call costs a small fee).
2. Quote: `trade_quote` / `POST /trade/quote` `{ taker, sell_token, buy_token, sell_amount | buy_amount, slippage_bps? }` → route, price, impact, least received, fee, gas, `expires_at` and the `steps` to sign (`approve`, `permit2_signature`, `swap`). Quotes route across every DEX on the chain through Uniswap's Aggregator Hooks: `sources` names the venues, `vs_uniswap_only` what Uniswap alone would give.
3. Tell your human the amounts and get a yes (unless they told you otherwise). A `needs_approval` answer means they must approve at `approval_url`; then quote again with the same parameters and `approval_id`.
4. Sign each step exactly as quoted (any change is refused) before `expires_at` (about 30 s); quote again if it expired.
5. Submit: `trade_submit` / `POST /trade/submit` `{ quote_id, signed_tx | tx_hash }` (optional `webhook_url`).
6. Check: `trade_status` / `GET /trade/{id}` until confirmed or failed; report the amounts actually received and the explorer link.

## Pons launchpad tokens

Tokens with `kind: "pons"` in `market_tokens` are volatile, and their pool keeps `pool_fee_bps` (1% or more) on every swap, buying and selling. Never trade one unless your human asked for it.

## Stock Tokens

Stock Tokens (for example SPY, NVDA) are debt securities issued by Robinhood Assets (Jersey) Limited, not available to US persons or in restricted countries. Only the key owner can tick **Stock Tokens eligibility** on the key: never attest it yourself and never work around `451` or `403 stock_attestation_required`; ask your human.
